July 19th, 2010. Small Shed Fire for Hagerman.

Hagerman was back at it once again, responding to a reported structure fire at 34 Sunbonet Ln.  Initial reports from a South Country Ambulance 1st Responder stated he could see a smoke column from a distance away.  Hagerman has a Monday - Friday daytime preplan with the North Patchogue and Bellport Fire Departments.  They will automatically be mutual aided into the scene for an engine on any reported structure fire or phone in automatic alarms.  Hagerman's Second Assistant Chief quickly arrived on scene and had dispatch reactiviate the department for a working fire.  After a quick sizeup of the scene he reported to dispatch he had a 10 x 10 single story peaked roof shed that was fully involved and to have Hagerman Engine 3 come straight into the scene and stretch an 1 3/4" attack line into the backyard.  The crew made a quick knockdown of the fire to contain it to the general area of the shed.  Crews overhauled the shed and all units were back in service within 40 minutes.  Thanks to Bellport and North Patchogue for their quick response.  Great Job done by All.
