While the members were finishing checking all the trucks and equipment in preperations for the approaching Hurricane Earl, the sound of tires screaching along with the "bang" resulted in the Department being activated for a Motor Vehicle Accident. Hagerman responded with 2 Chiefs (31 & 32), Rescue 4, Engine 6, Truck 10, and Fire Police Squad 8. Units arrived on scene to find that a pickup truck lost control and slammed into the back of a parked Honda. The impact caused the entire trunk of the Honda to be forced through the back windshield and into the back seat. Luckily there was nobody in the parked car at the time and the driver of the pickup was uninjured in the accident. The crew of Rescue 4 secured both the vehicles and the Crew of Engine 6 cleared the road of debris. All units were back in service within 20 minutes.
