Fire tore through a North Patchogue home on the afternoon of November 17th, 2011. North Patchogue's chief was first on scene and advised dispatch he had a one story home with heavy fire and smoke showing. Nobody was home at the time of the fire except a dog which was rescued alive behind a couch by a North Patchogue Fire Fighter. Hagerman responded with Engine 6 into the scene as per the pre-plan and stretched a 2nd hose line off the North Patchogue's Engine and helped perform search and overhauled after the fire was extinguished.
