On the morning of February 8th 2010, The Hagerman Fire Department was requested for an Engine to the scene of a working fire in North Patchogue's District. North Patchogue was working at 21 Morris Avenue, and the Chief was reporting a one story private dwelling with heavy fire and smoke throughout the house including fire in the basement. Hagerman responded and helped operations with an additional hand line and relieved the members of North Patchogue working in the basement. Other Departments that responded were Patchogue Fire Department for an Engine, Blue Point for a Rapid Intervention Team, and Medford Fire Department to North Patchogue's Headquarters. The house was a total loss but a great job was done by all.
