The Hagerman Fire Department's September 11th Memorial has been completed and is open to the public.   The memorial sitting just east of the Firehouse consists of a 14' long section of steel salvaged from the World Trade Center weighing in at over 11,000 lbs.  This steel was secured by the Department in August of 2011 through a written application process submitted to the New York City Port Authority.  The steel sits over a reflecting pool back-dropped by a constant waterfall and during the night the entire memorial is lit up with led lighting.

This Memorial is dedicated to all those lives lost on September 11th, 2001 and especially our Brother and Lieutenant of  FDNY Engine Company 1, Andrew Desperito.
